Let’s talk
Can you bill my dental insurance directly?
Yes. We work with major Canadian dental insurance plans and offer direct billing to most carriers. Bring your insurance card so we can help with claims. We can also provide a pre-authorization estimate before treatment. Call before your visit if you would like us to check whether we work with your plan.
How often should I book a checkup and cleaning?
Many patients benefit from an examination and professional cleaning every six months. Gum disease, frequent cavities or other risk factors can mean you need more frequent care, sometimes every three to four months. Your dentist will recommend a schedule that reflects your oral health.
How will I know what my treatment costs?
We do not publish a general fee guide because each treatment plan is individual. At your consultation, we explain the recommended care and provide an estimate before treatment begins. Your insurance benefits and any remaining balance can be discussed with our front desk team.
What if I feel anxious about dental care?
Tell us when you book. We regularly care for patients who feel nervous, and we can prepare for your visit, explain each step and work at a pace that helps you feel supported. You are welcome to ask questions throughout your appointment.
Do you care for children?
Yes. We welcome patients of all ages, including infants and toddlers. We recommend a child’s first dental visit around their first birthday or when the first tooth appears. Our team helps families build a comfortable routine from the beginning.
Can I get help with a dental emergency?
We offer same-day emergency appointments for both new and existing patients, with no referral required. Call (905) 876-4488 so we can understand what is happening and arrange care as quickly as possible. For a medical emergency, go to a hospital emergency department.
Do you accept walk-in patients?
We welcome walk-ins for emergency dental care whenever we can accommodate them. Calling first helps us assess the urgency and prepare for your arrival. For routine or elective treatment, booking ahead helps reduce waiting and allows time for your care.
Are payment plans available?
Payment plans are available for eligible major procedures. Speak with our front desk about flexible payment options and financing arrangements that may suit your needs. Plans must be discussed and arranged before treatment begins.
Are dental services covered by OHIP or the CDCP?
Routine care in a dental office is generally not covered by OHIP. Eligible patients may receive support through the Canadian Dental Care Plan or the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program. We welcome CDCP patients and can help you understand next steps; coverage and eligibility are determined by the relevant program. See the CDCP eligibility requirements and Ontario’s seniors dental care information.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring valid photo identification, your dental insurance card if applicable, and a list of current medications. Recent X-rays from a previous dentist may help avoid unnecessary duplication. Complete your patient forms beforehand, or arrive about 10 minutes early to fill in your health history.
